We are living in a world where we are always on our phones, making the most of our new technologies. It can make us feel like we are part of a community yet most can still feel alone. We have shaped our own lifestyle based on our habits and our daily reactions to everyday situations, yet most of us still have parts of ourselves that we are not happy with. In order to create long-lasting change, we need to get back to basics and first understand who we truly are.

My Personal Journey – Co-Founder of Armoured
Almost a year has passed since joining Armoured For Life and I have never looked back. I enjoy the varied programmes from a great coach who focuses on working the whole body. I have the pleasure to train alongside like-minded positive people that help drive me on this journey.
I have trained in the past but Armoured For Life to me has the edge. I leave each and every session with a positive mental well-being, knowing that my cardiovascular and strength have been worked to the max.
The formula is simple, make Armoured For Life part of your weekly routine and reap the benefits of a healthy, physically stronger, and mentally positive version of yourself.

My personal joy from Armoured is that I have the support to do anything, nothing is off limits… As Ahmed always says: ‘YOU CAN’… That belief that someone else has in you starts to make you believe that anything is possible. It can’t be done if you aren’t a team, if you focus on your own journey only; it’s inspiring to watch strong women in mind achieve their own personal goals together. I don’t feel intimidated or inferior, I feel safe.
Hi, my name is Julie and I’m a 47-year-old mum of 4 boys. My youngest is 9, my eldest is 16 and they all have autism.
Growing up I was painfully thin as I did not enjoy eating and was pretty food phobic. In my early teens I started to find walking difficult as my knee would lock regularly causing me to fall without warning and my leg would be stuck in position and in terrible pain. I was diagnosed with a disease in my knee and went on to have 3 operations; non-weight bearing for 3 months each time and each time my muscles withered away on the leg in question. Each time I was eventually able to walk again and then gave up with the physiotherapy exercises because “I could walk so surely everything was fine” but I didn’t realise how badly the muscles were weakened on that leg and the consequences for my whole body with poor movement and poor posture. Because exercise felt painful I used it as an excuse to avoid. I was never able to run again, fast forward 20 years and going up and down stairs became impossibly painful, fast forward a few more years and walking distances became painful until eventually just walking generally was so painful.
At Armoured coach Ahmed is fantastic. I have trained with him previously so as soon as I heard he was setting up his own training program I signed up straight away. Ahmed is absolutely brilliant at getting the very best out of you every session. The program constantly evolves to keep you motivated and making the best progress. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to make proper gains in fitness and strength.
At Armoured they know just how much to push you by tracking and following your results. If you want your training to be progressive and to constantly evolve to suit your own personal physical and health needs, then Ahmed is the best coach. When I found out Ahmed was setting up Armoured for Life I wanted to be part of it. Having always liked to keep active, Ahmed seems to know when you are not pushing yourself enough and always manages to get you to achieve just that bit more. A great coach and friend.
Ahmed has coached me for over 6 months and the first quality I noticed was his passion for his profession. He always makes you feel welcome and at ease when attending training camps. Even if you have not done this type of training before, Ahmed takes the time to explain and demonstrate techniques to achieve correct form and the best results. He will always drive you to achieve more than you believe you are capable of. I feel he has a way of bringing the best out of people.
Lizi, Ahmed’s business partner, and I have personally trained alongside in the past and present. She is very committed and conscious in all that she does. I have come to know Lizi very well having trained together, she is fun, bubbly, caring and has everyone’s wellbeing at heart. Lizi is also a great training buddy who gives plenty of encouragement and support during every session.
I am Armoured for Life, part of a community and consider Ahmed and Lizi life long friends.
